I like to write poetry and haiku in particular. I hope to write a haiku a day here or a haiga (combine a painting of mine with a haiku) and hope others will interact and enjoy. I need to find my way around here to see how I can link with other writers too.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my place –
There are several writing prompts available at my friend’s place:

Another friend has a site dedicated to haiku here:

Those are good places to start 🙂

I also enjoy many forms of Japanese American Style poetry such as pi ku,
tau ku, tanka and renga. As well as the American haiku called Lunes.
The syllable and or word counts can be found on the pages on my WordPress site,

…now to go back and read a verse or two of yours…
    Cheers, Jules

  2. Blessings on sharing the beauty and thanks for the like:-) I love Haiku, I use them in my English classes as a way to build confidence in those learning the language and as a fun way to teach about syllables. They always surprise themselves at the beauty they produce. Here’s an example:
    Flying far from me
My thoughts went to meet the sea
    Joining the water

Now I’ll read some more of yours:-)

  3. I love your blog. I hope you will accept a nomination for the One Lovely Blog Award! You can go to my blog for more info. It’s writersite and you add the .org afterwards. It’s today’s post “Gratitude x 7+.” I can’t link it here, I guess.

    • Margo, I have some paintings posted but under myinnerart – I am not sure how a person can see more than one blog, I have 4 on the go at the moment, one for poetry, a second for haiku only, a third with art and a fourth with small stones (mindful daily write). Maybe I have not set it up properly, very possibly. Thanks for commenting on my poetry and I love your blog 🙂 Maire

  5. Oh I am so glad to have found you again. I’ve started a new system to book mark sites that I like. As it is quite impossible to follow everyone. I am glad to see that you visited some of the sites I recommended.

I also now have a few blogs. But you can use a page on your own blog to post and describe all your other blogs so folks can see list in one place. Or you can also put yourself in your blogroll – just note that it is another one of your sites.
